It was our first evening on our dry season filming trip in Amboseli National Park, Kenya. We hadn't seen much wildlife, and as the sun was going down we were about to head back, when we saw a few giraffes walking along a treeline. We repositioned to get the classic African sunset behind them, and that's when I captured this single giraffe, striding behind the group.
This shot is a classic example of the magnificent sunsets that occur in Kenya.
A Giraffe at Sunset
I recommend a border of at least 1cm just so you don't lose any of the picture in the mounting or framing process. I personally like to use a larger border (around 3cm) on the larger prints, especially if you don't intend on mounting them, this is more for aesthetic reasons.
A 12x16" print with a mount would require a 16x20" frame
