On a wildlife film shoot, driving back to camp, we saw a flock of flamingos in the water. We positioned ourselves near one in particular that was a little further away from the flock. Being a calm day, the water was relatively still, allowing for a great reflection.
I love the juxtaposition of the clear flamingo and reflection in front, compared to the out of focus flock in the background. I also think that the pink colour of the flamingos complements the blue colour in the sky/water reflection.
Flamingo Reflection
I recommend a border of at least 1cm just so you don't lose any of the picture in the mounting or framing process. I personally like to use a larger border (around 3cm) on the larger prints, especially if you don't intend on mounting them, this is more for aesthetic reasons.
A 12x16" print with a mount would require a 16x20" frame
